Heart, Baby!
In 1974, George Lee Martin was sentenced to forty years in prison for armed robbery. He was eighteen years old and was sent to one of the toughest, most violent prisons in Tennessee.

Inside, George took up boxing as a release and soon proved unbeatable, fighting other prisoners every Friday night for seven years.

Word spread about George, beyond the prison walls to freeworld coaches. The warden decided to up the stakes and put him up against the pros. George beat them all; even the former US heavyweight champion of the world, John Tate, knocking him out in under a minute.

In 1984, the U.S. Olympic team offered George the ultimate opportunity–his freedom in exchange for a place on the Olympic team and the chance to win gold for his country. George refused.

Heart, Baby! tells the remarkable true story of George Lee Martin, and why he turned down freedom, fame, and glory for something far greater.
